UNL Turfgrass Science Team Welcomes New Faculty Member C&P : Jun-08-2009 : Roch Gaussion Dr. Zac Reicher, currently at Purdue University, has accepted the position as Integrated Turfgrass Management Specialist at UNL. He will be responsible for teaching several undergraduate turfgrass courses, advising undergraduate students in the new Turfgrass and Landscape management major, Extension support to turfgrass professionals and applied research in turfgrass management. Zac brings an excellent national reputation and will be a welcome addition to the faculty at UNL and a valuable asset to Nebraska and the region. He will be starting in February/March of 2010. Zac’s spouse, Dr. Kim Wilson, will also be joining the faculty at UNL in the Architecture Department as Director of Landscape Architecture and Regional Planning . With Zac on board, Dr. Roch Gaussoin will assume different duties at UNL, including additional teaching in the undergraduate Turfgrass major and coordination of several other programs. Roch and Zac, both having significant Extension responsibilities, will increase the front line support of the turfgrass industry in Nebraska substantially. Zac will be speaking at our 2010 NE GreenExpo as a prelude to his subsequent arrival at UNL. The Turfgrass Science Team is extremely pleased that Zac will be joining us. This hire would not have been possible without the excellent support of the administration in the Institute of Agricultural and Natural Resources at UNL and the team applauds them for their continued support of our program.
